I purchased a vehicle from Claremont Toyota in March 2005 and was financed through Toyota Financial Services. I recently became unemployed and fell behind on my payments. Over the past month I have made large payments exceeding $2000 to reinstate my account. Last week March 9, 2009 I had a 9 minute phone conversation with a TFS Rep, advising me the amount due to reinstate my account and cancel repossession was $250. The supervisor I spoke to today was extremly rude, and didn't even want to assist in reviewing my payment history. He also insisted payment was not received nor did I make the call, which I have phone records of my own showing a call was made on March 9th. After speaking with their corporate office, the representative there contacted the supervisor from the reinstatment department. He then admitted to receiving funds and stated that it was paid today. Therefor making it a valid repossession. They have commited fraud and I am pending a lawsuit against TFS. The supervisor , Gabe is at phone number (800) 874-8822. And Coperate Executive office, Christie at phone number (800) 392-2968. I am willing to pay the amount on my account to bring it completly current. However, I am not liable for the repossession fees of $760, or any other storage fees. I have filed a complaint with BBB. This has been such a demeaning and disrespectful experience. During several accounts with TFS, they have harassed me with personal attacks and at one point even said “where do you sleep at night”. Please advise. Thank you.
