GMAC Complaint

woman forced out of home that she is trying to purchase

- Juniper Hills, CA
Husband died 12/13/2009 and GMAC would not talk to me because I was nt on the mortgage. GMAC foreclosed on the property Feb 2011. I qualified to buy the house and GMAC agreed. appraisal was conducted and was lower than the asking price. GMAC finally agreed. Prospect Mortgage started reviewing the appraisal and found it faulty. They notified my real estate officer. She contacted GMAC for and extension. In the meantime I was being evicted and place out of the house. GMAC did not agree to the extension and we were only asking for another week to sort out the appraisal. They said that they would return the good faith money. My husband died in the house and I still had all his items in the house. I was told that I had 18 days to remove all items. GMAC had the items removed 4 days after the eviction without my permission. I am still interested in the house and another appraisal was completed that came back with same price. GMAC refuses to talk to my broker and will not return any calls. We did send the down payment to the escrow company but GMAC refuses to even review. I have no family and nowhere to go but I have the funds for this house that was custom built for me and my husband. I had to move my horses and dog. Can you help a mourning widow?
