OPEN ROAD BMW Complaint

WOMAN BUYING BMW? DON'T FORGET TO BRING A MAN WITH YOU.OR YOU'LL BE RIPPED OFF!! - 2005 325 I

- ROUTE 1 SOUTH, EDISON,NEW JERSEY
September 2,2010

To Whom It May Concern:

In 2008 my daughter and I went to OPEN ROAD BMW, EDISON, NEW JERSEY. WE selected a car and asked if it was in an accident or had been repainted. The Agent told me no.
Since bmw was well known worldwide, we did not have a reason to disbelieve him. He also suggested we take out a maintains contract that would cover evertying except tires,
He told me the policy would be mailed to us.

As day to day passed and there was no need to look at the policy, we forgot about it. We just brought the car in for aoil changes that were covered. Then when the 'CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ' went on we took it to the dealer. The service guy Frank told my daughter that it was not convered since it was a consumers fault. They wanted $545.00 for it. We did not have it. I called the dealrship for a copy of the policy and they said I was not convered and did not sent me a copy of policy as requested
Since we did not have the money we let it go for the moment. Now the right parking light is on and the coolant light is on and th eoil light is on. We took car to dealership and since they had it on record that the engine light was already noted on file, they proceeded to tell us the the coolant light was being on was 2 leaks in hoses and one was covered and one was not. This would be $353 to repair. Ge scared me telling me that this was serious and if I had to fix on items, it should be the hose. The oil change was covered but the parking light was not covered and would be another $50, Not to mention they canrge me $50 as a deductible to the policy.. We asked Frank to leave the bad parts in care, he did not.

What I would like is my $2300 that we paid for an insurance policy never nothing is covered except oil change.

My daughter bought the parts from the dealership to fix the check engine light to the tune of $100. The dealer told me that if anyone one other than the dealer fixes car we will loose warranty. They did not give me a warenty of the new hoses either. Theya re just ripping off the public.

When we asked for the name of the CEO or owner of the dealership, no one would provide me with this.

Your help is greatly appreciated.
