I bought an extended warranty on June 8, 2010 and paid the one hundred fifty dollars for the policy at that time. I made my first premium payment on July 8, 2010 of eighty-five dollars and thirteen cents. The policy states that it will only take care of claims after thity days and one thousand miles. It has been more than thirty days and I have an additional one hundred forty miles over the thousand miles required. Monday, July 19, 2010 I noticed my car had a little difficulty pulling off slightly when I started my car. I called the administrator as directed in my policy and he said take it to be checked out at a ASC Certified Dealer of Repairs. On Wednesday I took my car to the Mitshubi Dealer and he was given the insurance mannual and copied it. He called me back at approximately 2:45PM and said the company had denied my claim because of pre existing causes.
I maintain my car and had it inspected on June 4, 2010 and at that time there was no problem with my transmission.
The total cost of repair is Five thousand seventy-five dollars which is below the limits of this policy. There was no pre existing problem with my transmission. I need your help in resolving this situation.
I filed a complaint yesterday with the Federal Inspector General, I am awainting papers from the Missouri Attorney General as well as a call from the Missouri Insurance Department.
Thank you,
Margaret Moore-Washington
