I purchased three rooms of furniture from Furniture Bargains Cal City in November 2009. It has literally been a horrifying experience. I purchased a bedroom set for my daughter. Upon delivery some of the knobs were missing, the dresser was scratched, and the bottom of the dresser drawer decided to fall out. The cocktail table was delivered with a glass that didnot fit the table. The dining room table has had a serious issue, ever since it was purchased. The finish has come off of the wood and is very noticeable. I am at the point now where I have to have place mats over the entire table to cover up where the finish has come off. I contacted the so called manager who was very unprofessional. She contacted the manager of the store and he came out to assess all of the issues. I must say, he was quite unprofessional and rude. He addressed the issues concerning the dresser and the cocktail table. I called again about the table last year. I spoke to the so called manager of the store once agin. . I explained to her how disappointed I was with my dining room table. She told me that I was not properly taking care of the table and that I must have children that are destroying the finish on the table. I explained to her that there were no children in my home. My daughter was 21 at the time. She stated that there wasn't anything that could be done to resolve the issue. In other words, I would have to accept this continuous damaging product. I told her that I would contact the Business Bureau and she told me to go ahead and do that because she knew that they would not address the issue with Furniture Bargain and would not do anything to resolve the issue. I discovered that the are not members of the Better Business Bureauand the nanager knew that at the time. She offered me three hundred dollars off of my next purchase of another dining room set. I asked her why would I purchase another set, when I had just purchased this one. I got frustrated and never pursued the matter any further. Guess what? The sofa in the living room is now beginning to SINK in the middle and the inside of my lamps are PEELING. I am requesting that I receive a refund for the dining room set and living room set. Furniture should last for more than a year. I took my hard earned money and paid cash for the three rooms of furniture and I am very unhappy with it. Furniture Bargain store should be closed down. They are advertising that they sell quality furniture at bargain prices. I am almost positive that this is not the first time an incident of this magnitude has occurred with their store.
