I purchase my new home about 3 years ago. I was proud to furnish my entire kitchen with whirlpool appliances, Whirlpool was the name brand that my parents came to trust over the years and my dream was to have all my appliances from whirlpool. It is such a disappointment to see all my appliances literally discentigrate on my hands. Exactly a year and a week after the ice maker on my refrigerator broke down, I called the company which refused to repair because it was past a year, I then proceeded to call the extended warranty for which I paid over 300.00 dollars to get it repaired and they stated that the ice maker was not covered, I ended up payin 200+ dollars to repair it, and now after a year a 2 months the ice maker again is broken. The microwave door handle broke and all the plastic around the door is crumbling down.
It is sad that US manufactured products are such of poor quality it is no wonder that Americans are purchasing more foreign products.
