VIP Travel a/k/a ( also known as ) Elite Escapes International a/k/a Vacation Professional Services a/k/a South Carolina Resort Properties filed Chapter #11 Bankruptcy July 25, 2008 in US Bankruptcy Court District of South Carolina case #08-04363-hb 1100 Laurel St. Columbia SC 29201-2423. The have been operating in many states under many different names and have many complaints filed against them with the South Carolina BBB, South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs, and numerous complaint boards on the internet. The South Carolina Department filed a suit against them in April 2008 and the state of North Carolina has barred them from doing business in North Carolina. We received a notice from the Bankruptcy Court stated above just a few days ago. We unfortunate bought a membership last year and have not been able to use it nor get a refund.
