I ordered two silver dollars from ebay in November of 2007 and they were delivered December 01, 2007, but they were delivered to 84 west 24 street and I live at 88 west 24 street, I went on line at the end of January because I didn't receive my package and ask the sender where are my coins? He said they were delivered on 12/01/08, and he could not refund my money or give me other coins because they said they were delivered!
I went to my local post office on 570 Broadway, Bayonne and spoke to Mr.Terrence P, Ruane, he is the post master, I told him the story and he said he will get in touch with the mail carrier, weeks went by and I went back to Mr. Ruane, he said call me back and I will make an appointment to bring the mail carrier in my office and we will both talk to him, a few weeks went by and I called the office, the post master was on vacation, a few weeks went by and I went back to the post office and spoke to the post master and he said this has never happened to him in all the years working in the post and he wasn't sure what to do? a few weeks later I go back to the post master and he calls the mail carrier in, the three of us are in the post master office and ask the carrier what happened to the package, he said I did something unusual because he was busy, I scanned four packages and Mixed the packages up, I had Mr Willard sign for Gonzales package and Mr Gonzales sign for Mr Willard package, well neither of got a package that day, I told the post master and the carrier I didn't get a package and show me where I signed for it, they couldn't show me where I signed, Mr. Runne the "post master" said I"ll get back to you, a few weeks went by and I went back to the post master and he said I asked the postal inspection to look in to the matter, I said thank you again.
A few weeks went by I got a call from the postal inspect on Saturday night about 9:00 PM and he said he went to Mr. Gonzales and ask if he received the package that he signed for, he said I never received the package and he didn't sign for anything! I also asked his children, one is about 14 a girl and his son is about 20 years old.
I asked the postal inspection what's next, I'll get back with you, a few weeks goes by and I call the postal inspecter back, Mr Scott E. Mathews, I call Mr Mathews back and ask him what is going on, he said I'm not sure what you should do now, I said, should maybe I should take the post office to JUDGE JUDY, maybe I'll get some action there, he said he would go to court with me if I needed him. In the mean time I'll get back to you. A few weeks go by and I haven't heard from any one, I called the postal inspecter back around March 5, 2008 and ask him for a report so I can go to court or what ever I have to do, I asked him I want to see if any body ask for Mr. Gonzales had writing to match the signature on the tracking receipt, he said they don't do reports and go mad about it, I said if you don't do reports how does any one what you have done? He said O' we do internal reports and you can't get a copy, so what should I do now I asked him, he said take the postal office to court and if you need me I'll gladly go, I thanked him and said if I need you I'll call I have you number!!!!!!!!
The post master washed his hands of it, the postal done his job, what ever that was, and the carrier did his job????????
Oh, I went back to talk to the carrier again and he happen to be out on disability and they didn't know when he will be back.
What are you to do about this situation????
I hope I hear from you guys there is no one who cares any more, if you do your job and it's wrong there is not consequence.
