My wife got a phone call to clean our furnace for$29.95.
I had recently had my ducts cleaned and it really didn't need cleaned because they cleaned the furnace at the same time.
I did have a thermostat that I needed hooked up so I thought that they could hook it up.
The boss came out in a couple of days with a helper who was carrying a very small vacuum.The boss proceeded to lay out his book of items and the helper was just blowing dust around the basement.The boss started to tell me what I needed.Which what a chimney liner.
Before I knew what happened he had an invoice made out and said that my chimney was probably deteriorated and would cost thousands of dollars to repair and it would only be $1590.00.I thought that was quite a bit but he said that he was giving me a service contract that would cover my furnace and hot water tank.I gave him a check and the liner was installed the same day.
A couple of days later the boss came out supposedly to inspect the work. although his right hand man inspected it before he left.The boss came out with his catalog of parts
and proceeded to tell what else I needed.A hot water tank and a clean air system for around $3000 I told him no he left and wasn't happy.
I took him to small claims court and got $969.00 back.He said that it would bankrupt his company.He paid $100 a week but I finally got it all.
