Management at Rosemont @Bethel Place Apartments has begun taking holidays off in lieu of collecting rent at the expense of its tenants. I do not get social security on the 1st, so I have no reason to think the office will not be open on the 3rd. Late fees are being attached to rent, and it is not fair that they do not post unusual office closures on fliers at tenants' doors. I have no reason to go and read notices on the lobby doors, and I should not have to pay late fees and run around to my bank for money orders when the office is not open to collect rent consistently. Management puts fliers on doors for less; why not when the office isn't open when it should be? Today (Sunday) is not the holiday; Monday is! This has happened to me before when the office suddenly left early on the 3rd day, and it is totally unfair. I don't track all holidays or hang out around the lobby! I’d call this unfair rental practices. I should have been able to pay rent with my usual check for the usual amount on the 3rd business day the office is open. And again, if they’re going to close the office … when it should be open … they should post fliers on doors (not the lobby door).
Just trying to get this email to the correct place. I got an apology, but they still took my money, made me run around, and cost me $5 for a cashier’s check from my bank. Booooooooooo … hisssssssssssssss!!!! Ruined my day, that’s for sure.
Now, they’re getting greedy and asking for $5 more for THEM not being available on July 3, 2011. A note was placed on my door … like it should’ve been for the office closure. In fact, any time they do something like this, we should get notices at our doors. I’m steamin’ mad. I will find a legal outlet for this one, and hopefully Rosemont will end up owing me money instead of the other way around. Unfair, unfair, unfair!!!!!
By the way, the late fee was $50 on top of my rent.
