The banking industry has taken Billions from taxpayer funds to work with homeowners on loan modifications to help people retain their homes, the banks in turn are doing everything possible to do the opposite and are foreclosing on homeowners who want to save their homes at a record pace. I have been working with Chase for 18 months on a loan modification, worked with several reps and am still to
this point stuck in underwriting with a Notice of Sale looming over my head
which I was assured by Chase wouldn't be filed in the first place. I'm
in this situation due to losing my position in the mortgage industry liquidity crisis where I worked for 20 years until
Indymac Bank closed their doors in late 07', I had significant
reserves to tide my family over but my wife of 15 years was diagnosed with
cancer in May of 08' one month after my Cobra coverage had expired which
cost a little over 300k out of pocket for medical expenses until her passing
in October that year. I have done everything asked of me by your Chase and
keep getting the run around. In August of 2009 I applied for a loan mod and was granted a trial payment reduction until I received the final approval from underwriting, I made this payment for one year and checked in weekly to see when I would get the final approval and see if any additional paper work was required from me to accomplish the decision. On September 5th I spoke to my relationship manager at Chase and was told everything was fine and no info was needed from me at that time, five days later I find a Notice of Default on my door! I call my representative and was told they didn't receive something requested and canceled my request, I re applied and have been in underwriting since early October with no additional info requested, my new representative told me everything was fine and all foreclosure proceedings had been stopped, I find a Notice of Sale on my door December 22nd. Chase has lied, used fraudulent lending practices and has broken dozens of RESPA laws in their failure to respond to several written request. Please help me resolve this issue and let me
save the home I personally built and where I raised my son. Thank you for
