I purchased a 2010 Chevy Impala from a trusted dealer in the Austin area at Heena Chevrolet on 4/30/2011. I was informed that because of my credit history there was only 2 vehicles on the lot that I could choose from. I was then told that the 2010 Chevy Impala was a reliable car and that it was a one time owner(in my mine a single individual. I requested a car fax that I never received until 5/24/2011. After two - three weeks of driving the vehicle an air bag repair single light came on. I drove my car 65 miles to the dealer which wanted me to pay the $250.00 deductible and had to argue to get that removed with the assistant general manager. Upon receiving my car from the service department there was sratches on the rear bumper and damage under the undercarriage and front end of my car and all of the gas was used out of the car, 42 additional miles were driven on my car and my low fuel light was on . I asked the service department and contacted the manager and no one could explain why. My mileage upon leaving my car was 39373 and upon receiving my car it was 39480.
While investigating further, my vehicle appeared to have had prior damage and upon finally demainding a car fax from the dealer, The one time owner of my car was a Fleet owner and previous rental vehicle, my front driver side hood is not adjusting or lining up right and there is a gap where the car appears to have previous work done to it has been adjusted improperly. Now the original car fax and auto check is stating that the vehicle has never been in any accidents but the body of the car is simply informing me of something else. I have not made the first payment to the finance company and now they are saying that if I give the vehicle back due to falsification it will appear on my credit and I will have to pay back the difference of the amount owed in sold in an auction. I am trying to come to an agreement with the dealership to purchase the vehicle back from the finance company because they have sold me a problematic vehicle. Because I really do not want this vehicle to ruin me newly rebuild credit.
Sincerely Yours,
Demetrice Darby
