The "Trex" decking material I had installed is supposed to last 50 years.
My decking began deteriorating in just under 2 years. I contacted the company's Customer Relations depart, via mail, accompanied by pictures showing the damage. They received my correspondence and supporting pictures on November 29,2007. I have not received any response from addresses.
My son-in-law (in the wholesale lumber business) finally found a contact for me. I contacted that agency who issued me a claim number "TX-10901". I received a flier from a company named "Bright Claim" who is purported to handle these claims for "Trex". I was informed I would hear from a person, within 48 hours, named Fred. NO FREDDY! I called back a week or more, later. I was told I would here from Fred within 24 hours. STILL NO FREDDY! I have called several time again and no one answers the calls.
Warn all viewers of this SCAM! It would be my pleasure to let you observe, for yourself, the damage. Hopefully you will broadcast the imagery to your viewers. Inform them before they sink their hard earned dollars into this inferior product.
