I fell into the trap of having the top leader in lawn care Scotts Lawn, fertilize my lawn. with there award winning service and guarantee. The guarantee I got has been to kill my lawn & make me the eye soar & laughing stalk of my neighbors, Before Scotts Lawn my lawn was beautiful & perfect. but I was talked into having them do it, they guaranteed better results. Now after a year of several talks letters & pictures, with the manager, cooperate and even a specialist from New York coming out, to intimidate me, they still deny any wrong doing. they did try to reseed the area, last September but nothing would grow, except my water bill that doubled. I have asked for the soil to be tested, they say "they don't have the means to do that, nor do they have the means to dig out the bad areas"as I have now been asking for my lawn to be replaced. I find it very funny the top leader in lawn seed could not preform this simple test, or they do not own or know how to use a shovel. apparently they only know how to spray chemicals & hope for the best. the guarantee that they advertise is if your not completely satisfied call within 48 hours and they'll fix it, well I did that, when my lawn started to instantly die, they did keep sending the tech out and of coarse he blamed me and mother nature. nothing to do with anything he did. I did also point out to him in the back yard, besides the grass, the plants & shrubs he sprayed & killed, "he thought they were weeds" they still had tags on them. I was not having the back yard serviced it was not part of my contract, and I have dogs. Thank god it was only done once so the grass sum what survived. Now another summer is upon us I have nothing but dead grass & thriving weeds, in the front of my beautiful house. I have gotten estimates of $1,500. there generous offer was $400 to put towards it & never to contact them again. I am now forced to bring them to small claims court & hope court will side with me the single small home owner not with the biggest lawn seed company. with all there cooperate lawyers behind them. the area of grass is only 40'x30' a simple fix to stand behind there reputation, you would think. But they figure if they drag it out & intimidate me I would give up. I can't afford to, nor should I have to pay to have my lawn fixed, the lawn that they treated and killed. some guarantee.. any help or advise in this matter would be greatly appreciated. and yes I do have plenty of pictures.
