Joe Maches Toyota in Columbia Missoui Complaint

Toyota will not fix my vehicle's defects - 2010 Toyota Venza

- Columbia Missouri
In April of this year, we bought a 2010 Toyota Venza because we were expecting a baby. We noticed after we purchased our vehicle that there were manufacture defects. We took our vehicle back within the next couple of weeks to Joe Machens Toyota in Columbia Missouri, to fix our dash and Side A Pillar where this is an air bag. They had it for a week and did nothing to our vehicle. I called a couple of days after I dropped it off to see when my vehicle would be ready and I kept getting that the parts had not came in yet. I made an appointment under the impression that all parts where there, when they whole time they were not even going to fix the problem. When my husband picked it up, he noticed that it was in the same condition as when I dropped it off to them. They said that they had to order parts for it, showed me a diagram of what the parts looked like and how it would be fixed. I looked at the vehicle when my husband brought it home and it was in the same condition as when I left it for them to fix. In May 2010, we were in Columbia and stopped back by the Dealership and discussed our situation again with the Service Department Manager and also the District Manager from Kansas City, MO who said that they wanted to take pictures of our vehicle so he could send them in to the Corporate office of Toyota and see what their solution would be. We also walked around the parking lot to look at other Venza's and see if they were in the same condition as our's. We noticed that they had several on their lot in the same condition as ours. We were told that they were not going to sell them because of the defects and would get an answer from Toyota Corporate as to what will be done. We waited and waited and did not hear anything for a couple of weeks. Called numerous times and were told that they were still waiting on an answer. Called back this past week and was told that Corporate did not warrant this as a manufacture defect and will not fix our problem. We were told by the Case Manager from Toyota that we would have to file an arbitration with Toyota and then they will make a final decision whether or not it will be fixed. This is a manufacture defect and I am stuck having to fight this battle with them and don't think that this is my problem, but Toyota's problem. The true problem with this experience in buying a Toyota is the Service after the Sale, which Toyota brags about on TV as being their big concern. In my opinion, that is the biggest lie I have ever heard.
