Toyota Prius Complaint

Two years ago went to Big Bear for the weekend, that night it started snowing it continue to the following day. When we were ready to leave I started the car no problem, warm it up shut it off then went to turn in our keys to the hotel, the most it took was three to five minutes when I try to start the car it was just dead all the warning lights went on and said not to try to start it but to call the dealer.

I call a tow truck to haul it waited several hours because their was not a truck available because all the accidents the snow had cause. I pray and decided to try again then the car started, had no problem getting back home. But know one has explain the why???
