I have had a property under contract since Feb 2010 - Wells Fargo is the current owner of the property - Service Link is handling the title work/closing of the property. It was discovered in March 2010 when my attorney ran title on the subject property, that McCalla Raymer, the foreclosing attorney for Wells Fargo had foreclosed on the wrong piece of property- they foreclosed on the house next door. When confronted with this information, they have refused to correct the issue in the correct manner for over 1 year now. They were advised that they needed to reforeclose on the property and they continually chose to "patch" up their error with additional errors in their attempt to correct the initial mistake. Only until recently when the word "lawsuit" was mentioned did they have an attorney from Service Link contact me and she stated that they wanted to correct the title issue and would work with my Real Estate Attorney to get it corrected so that I could purchase the property. I have had a "cash offer " on the table since Feb 2010 -$35K over an above what is owed on the property. It's delays and the ignorance of companies like Wells Fargo /Service Link that are causing these foreclosed properties to sit longer than they should. I am a Real Estate professional and knew what the title issue was from the beginning, I just couldn't get anyone to listen to me until now - sad !
