I am the victim of a Timeshare buying Scam. Gary Taylor (404-647-6960) (calling out of Atlanta, Ga)will call about seeing your ad on selling your timeshare. He acts as a financial agent for Mr. Steve Greames who apparently lives in Springfield Virginia (703-372-7125). He states that the Greames are interested in buying your timeshare and would like one soon. He is very clever in answering all your questions. A couple days later Mr. Greames calls and states that he has decided to buy your particular timeshare and politely asks if you (the seller) could help pay the closing cost of $980.00. The next day Gary Taylor calls and states that Mr. Greames has sent his share of the closing cost $490 and he would need the rest of the closing cost money to start a title search. He sends instructions on how to send the money, "Green Dot Money Pak". He even sends a contract with the title "Resort Solutions, Inc." could possibly change the name. Any way, when you finally send in your share of the closing cost $490.00, you never hear from them again. I have contacted the Attorney General's Office in NC, the Garner NC Police, Money Pak, Timeshares by Owner etc. All to no avail. So far. Not done yet. Beware-This duo is very smooth and savy.
