Went into Pep Boys one evening to have a battery installed. They quoted me $15. After installing the battery they billed me $50. Then they said, oh, $29.00. I paid it under duress, to get my car back. Called customer service and filed a complaint. Went in to talk to the store manager and one after another the mechanics swore up and down they told me the job required additional labor and and fees. They did not!!! The manager backed them. Well, when I argued with them, the manager told me to "watch my mouth" and that he was going to "take me to court". I pointed out to them that they did not replace the compartment cover correctly, failing to secure the anchors and support bracket. They told me I didn't know what I was talking about. Only when I told them to come outside and look at the car did they agree to refund me the additional $15 "difficult installation" fee. Those Boys stick together like a band of thieves!
