American Made, My AS*! - Thor Softline Washer Dryer Combo

- They are in So. Cal, I am in No Cal
I purchased the Thor Softline a few years ago. Getting the thing serviced has been a nightmare, usally taking several weeks, if not months. Now finally, the door assembly broke
and the door fell off. (THE DOOR FELL OFF!)

Anyway, I made numerous calls to them, and finally someone responded to tell me what part I need and gave me another number with in the company to order it. That number I called many many times, and never got a call back! So I started investigating myself and found the Softline is exactly like the Haier washer combo dryer, made in China..

Only the Haier is half the price. Now I am trying to order the part from Haier and it has to come from China and China needs a minimum order. People have been waiting since July 2007! I placed my order on November.

I feel completely SCAMMED by Thor. I spent over $1100 on a machine that I thought was one of quality. It had broken down at least once a year or more, and the service has been terrible. The service person that have never returns calls
and when he does, he takes forever to service. PLUS now I find out my machine is some piece of crap out of China, that is being remarketed for twice the amount. I am at wits end! Please help me.
