Hired Donald Rice & US TAx Resolutions to complete back tax returns for individual and for a Trust I manage. I personally picked up my return for 2008 from the office. Found numerous simple mistakes like not including my son as a dependant, and also received my return back from the IRS because it would not be accepted without an original signature. Personally brought return back and met with Don Rice again. He stated oversight; he would correct the return and resubmit to IRS.... Since April 2011 I have not been able to speak to Mr. Rice, my phone calls and emails are not returned and the few that were replied to were just stating he'd contact me etc; and that never occurred. The return was never corrected or submitted because I received a bill for over $40,000. from the IRS stating failure to file. I also received notice from DE Revenuedept. requesting original w2's. US Tax has all my original documents and a $500. retainer. In an effort to pursue this I researched the business, it's owned by Nancy Wolf and licensed to sell yoga books! I called Ms. Wolf on 3 occasions 1st said she will have Rice contact me. Second call said if I don't hear from him in 24 hrs to call her back. Third call stated she was in a meeting and could not talk now. I am responsible to the IRS and I cannot get anywhere. Explained problem to DE Revenue and my email was forwarded to a supervisor. I plan on going to the office and demand my forms back so I can have another CPA complete them before the IRS comes after me. I also want my retainer back because to date no tax form has been filed accurately. PLEASE HELP ME AS SOON AS YOU ARE ABLE THE IRS HAS ONLY GIVEN ME UNTIL THE 8TH OF OCT TO PAY!!!
I have submitted a complaint with the BBB in Delaware. And plan on submitting to the DE Attorney General.
