Went to Ferber Dental Group after seeing their advertisement for Implants on your station. The appointment was easy to make and I was informed they would do a complete consultation and XRays. The consulation is free, however XRays were from $17 for one tooth to $120 for a full set. Since I needed only one implant I was surprised when they said they had to do to a full panel ($120). I even received any email from them prior to setting up the appointment Iand they knew I was interested in the implant) that the fee was $17 - $120. Since they obviously always charge $120 [in my opinion, and I am not a lawyer] that is false advertising.
Now for the $499 implant. They are correct, the implant is $499, however, the extraction, crown and other REQUIRED procedures take the cost up to over $2,000 !!!!!!
They should advertise the PROCEDURE cost, not the cost of one step of the procedure.
I really don't care how much a steering wheel costs when I am buying a car, I only care what the car costs. When I get a filing, I don't care what the filling material is, I only care what the cost to fill the tooth is.
The way Ferber advertises, they are within the law (as I can figure) but skirt and are a bit on the deceptive side.
I suspect they make a good living charging $120 per exam. I also thought it was interesting when Dr. Ferber said "I suppose you are ready to run out of here", as he told me the price. I guess I am not the only one with sticker shock, or that wouldn't be his line.
