My 12 year old son made an extremely wrong decision to leave target without paying for his items. After the initial phone call from the police wanting me to pick him up. I received a letter from target wanting me to pay $374.00 - $250.00 of it is just for a fine from Target $124.00 is for merchandise that was not open and could be put back on the shelf. So, Basically I was robbed by target in the amount of $374.00. This story is not about an adolescent. Please know the big corporations such as Target run more than a retail chains and get to do whatever they want. I can only imagine what else they are getting away with. I have made a hundred dollar payment so far, but I'm already getting harassed by the Target Corporate attorney to pay or go to court. My son’s case was drop and I did pay a fine to the city. He was also discipline at home including a full month of grounding with no luxuries or friends and has to pay for the target fine with report card and allowance money. What does Target get for robbing me?
