Car Dealerships getting blamed for things not their fault Complaint

Take Responsibility for Your Purchase - Used Cars

- Fort Myers, FL
Take responsibility for your purchase.

If you are in the market for a used automobile, only YOU can be responsible for the experience and the outcome you have.
If you feel you have been a "victim" of a car purchase gone wrong, you probably could have avoided it if only you had taken responsibility and done your due diligence.

Did your car need repairs after you bought it? Does that make you a victim? NO. It means you probably did not get the car inspected by an independent mechanic BEFORE you bought the car. Did the car come with a warranty or did you purchase a warranty? If you bought a used car without a warranty, who did you think was going to pay for the repairs? New cars come with warranties because even they break down. Shouldn't you expect a USED car to need repairs too? Why didn't you plan for them?
Shouldn't you expect to be responsible for repairs and maintenance that come with the responsibility of owning a car. You own the car, no one else does.

Look,,when you buy a house, you get it inspected BEFORE you buy it. If the inspection turns up a leaky roof, you ask the sellers to fix it or you don't buy the house. If you did the same thing when you buy a car, you wouldn't have surprises and then have to Blame someone else for your "misfortune". If you buy a house and the airconditioner needs a repair a few months later, you weren't victimized by the seller...it's called being responsible for the care and maintence of your home.

Why should a car purchase be so different than any other major purchase? Why do some people always look for someone to blame for something that is their responsibility?

Finally, if you don't want to pay high interest or don't understand your finance contract, the time to speak up is BEFORE you sign anything. Don't blame the dealership for your poor credit or your lack of understanding. Only YOU have the power to accept or reject financing that is being offered to you. If you don't like what you are offered, get your own financing. If your credit is too bad to get financing on your own, do better with this car loan and hope it helps your credit enough to get better financing the next time. It's not the dealer's fault if you have bad credit anymore than it is your fault if your friend has bad credit.

Take responsibility people! I worked at a BMW dealership that sold mostly used cars for many years. My customers never had any of the problems all of these people are posting here. Do you want to know why? Because they took their major purchase seriously, did their research, and asked questions ahead of time. Also they didn't screw up their credit so bad that the only thing they could afford was a car with over 100,000 miles on it, and then were mad when their 100,000 mile car needed a repair.
Trust me, when buying a car, you get a result equal to the amount of effort and responsibility you are willing to put in to it. Period.

Don't believe me? There are more consumer protection laws focused on car dealers than any other industry, if you were truly a victim, you would have a legitimate lawsuit that you would win, not just a complaint on the internet or T. V.

Take responsibility for your next car purchase and you will not be a victim. I guarantee it!

99.9% of car dealers are nothing more than
professional crooks.If i was a judge i would give
each one of them one year in prison for every one
dollar that they ripped hard working honest people
