In March we purchased airfare & cruise through Priceline for a trip (of a lifetime, of course) to Tahiti in December. Deposit on cruise & full airfare has long been paid. Yesterday we get a call from Priceline stating flight has been canceled. Air Tahiti can only offer us tickets for two days earlier. I requested that the airline provide 2 nights hotel and first class seats (why not try?) Since the airline canceled the flight, and this requires additional expenses such as petcare, changing travel arrangements to the departure airport, etc, shouldn't the airline provide the hotel expenses for the extra necessary nights? Thank you for your consideration; feeling powerless in Sonoma.
