FPL has many surges but this one took out my PCI. I called FPL to report this to their insurance company. The insurance man explained that "it wasn't FPL
'S fault". Research for the surge was done and a lady had a seisure and hit a telephone pole with her car in Holly Hill,( police report HH10-3159 ). Mr. Polemeni replied "because the lady who damaged FPL's pole was the cause of the surge, FPL would not pay my claim of $50 to replace my PCI. Mr. Polemeni said I would have to contact her insurance company and make a claim with them.
Mr. Polemeni also explained that when the pole was hit in Holly Hill it sent the surge to Ormond Beach and thats why the power went off and damaged my computer.
I asked Mr. Polemeni if he could recommend another electric company to me since I am not happy with FPL and he replied "their is no other company but FPL". I was just being sarcastic!
Why don't we have another power source?
And....it's FPL electric that went through my wires not this poor lady with the seisure. I think FPL should be responsible for their electric damaging my computer.
