Michael Shannon is currently the store director of store #528 in Northport, Alabama. Michael Shannon has verbally made it known that he does not like African Americans working for him nor does he like African Americans shopping at his location. He is currently trying to terminate all African American employees and mistreating all African American customers. The leaders of the Birmingham district are turning their backs on what is going on at this location. Richard Mcgough(district manager) Darryl Miller(district center-store specialist)and the district human resources manager. The corporate headquarters has been contacted and made aware of what is going on and they do not seem to be too concerned either. This has the making to be a really big story because there are at least twenty people that have been discriminated against by Michael Shannon. We all want to spread the word about what is going on at this location and what is going on inside this district. We have legit documentation, pictures, recorded statements, etc. We are trying to get the attention of the leaders of this company in hope that change will be made and the individuals that are responsible for what is happening at location 528 and the other horrible things going on in the Birmingham district are dealt with immediately. If that does not work, we will have to bring in lawyers from the outside. There was a class-action lawsuit that took place several years ago that drove Winn-Dixie into bankruptcy. It was a discrimination suit very similar to this situation that cost them 39 million dollars as a company. The concent decree that they were under ended a couple of years ago and now it seems that they are taking a step back and doing the same thing all over again. Thanks again for your time.
