We lost our condo during Hurricane Wilma. The whole roof blew off, and the entire apartment had to be gutted. It has been since October 2005, and we are still in dispute with State Farm over our damages. We went to mediation about two weeks ago with a Public Adjuster, and still could not come to a final agreement. I have had State Farm for many years, and this is the worst they have been. We have had numerous adjusters since the hurricane, and they have seen the damages.
We are also having a lot of problems with the Association Insurance, Clarendon Insurance Company.
In the meantime it has been extremely stressful. The inside of our apartment is still gutted, after a year and a half. The association is fighting Clarendon for more money to fix the repairs they are responsible for, and we still are trying to reach a final settlement with State Farm.
We need to move on with our lives(we are in our sixties.)
We are tired of promises, and nothing is getting accomplished.
