We were on vacation from June 9 thru June 14,2010 puna cana resort, dominican republic. We had round trip airfare with spirit airlines. The day we left June 14 2010 from puna cana to myrtle beach spirit airlines went on strike. We had no way to get home unless we book with another airlines. We only had us airways to charlotte that cost us $1068.00. We had no connecting flight. Only way to get home with private car with driver that cost us additional $475.00. Total cost one way $1543.00. Spirit airlines refuses any rebate. The total cost for week with the resort was $1600. It cost us 1543.00 One way home additional. The reason for the strike pilot salary. I hope you can advertise this letter to show how spirit airlines does not care about there flying customers. We have not received one dollar from spirit for this.
