On May 5, 2006 I traveled on Spirit Airlines from Ft. Lauderdale to Atlantic City. Due to flight delays plus choas amongst disgruntled passengers because of plane change which rendered seat assignment invalid (Broward Sheriffs Officers were called in to restore order and assist in boarding passengers) the company spokesperson announced over the intercom that each passenger would be given a 50% discount on their next flight with Spirit. On May 6 I reserved a return flight for May 7. When making the reservation I requested the 50% discount, and was advised that the discount had not yet been posted to my name due to the weekend clerical schedule, but that the discount would be honored by the time of billing. When I received my credit card bill I realized that the discount had not been applied.
I have made several calls to the company, who deny that the discount was offered. They offered a $50 discount on my $284.30 ticket.
