Sony Electronics Complaint

Sony Blue Blob - Sony Grand Wega KDF60XS955

- Washington - Bothell, Wa.
All Sony Rear Projection Televisions have an Engineering flaw that can't be fixed. The problem is the Optical Block the most expensive part on the TV. Sony's cooling system for the sets fail to cool the Optical Block and the Lamps to fracture causing a Blue, Green or Yellow Blob. I have had mine replaced twice before getting wise this third time. Searching the Internet I found Hundreds if not thousands of consumers on different sites with the same problem. When talking to Sony not once did they tell me there was an issue or in fact they had been sued in a class action suit and lost. This was in New York but the problem is much bigger than I had thought. Sony is trying to sweep the small people that bought their Rear Projection Television under the rug with misinformation. They verbally admitted to me that there is no permanent fix that's after it was repaired twice and now need yet another Optical Block. They offered to sell me another Television smaller than the one I have at a discount that was wasn't any good as you could buy the same set they were offering at any Big Box Store for less than what they were offering. Sony has refused to replace the defective sets. The cost of repair is about $1,200.00 each time. I could have bought a new set with money I've dumped into this Television. Sony Customer Service actually looks down their noses at this whole thing.
All I want is to be made whole by Sony.
