Compliance Department Complaint

I received a letter from the "Compliance Department" with a postal address in Talahassee requesting payment of $125.00 for an annual meeting tax. It indicated the number of my company and date incorporated, so at the beginning, I believed it was a new tax. However, something told me this was not kosher and I started investigating only to find it to be a crude scam.

I wonder how they got my company's information.
This should be reported to the FBI. The address given by this "Compliance Department" is 400 Capital Cir SE. Post mail box 18321 Talahassee, Fl., 32301.
