I went to PicN Pull to see the car inventory they had there for sale on 1-27-2012. There were 4 cars available for me to choose from that fit within my budget I chose 97 dodge truck, looked decent and would accomidate my family I was told that each of the other cars had some repair issues and that the dodge had nothing wrong with it by Juan the salesman. I was also told they couldn't allow actual test drives by law. They would supply gas, as well as temporary paper license plates for me, which they did not do. The truck sounded excellant as I checked the windows, signals, headlights, dash panel, Juan said turn it off gas was low so I did. I explained my situation the importance of having transportation, and how I was very limited to the available rides for car shopping. I did all the paper work and went out front to wait for my vehicle. It came out the gate I got in and the gates were shut and locked behind me. I put in in drive and it went no where. I turned to Juan but Pic n Pull was now closed. I put the shifter into low and it drove out shifting manually to the nearest gas station.(about half a mile)The truck would not start, I then got a ump and then it would not move I ust sat there and the motor reved as I tried to go. The transmission had gone out. So I called a tow truck and brought my new truck home. My sons were so upset to look at our new car that they couldn't go for a ride in. The next morning I tried to talk to Juan and Scott his supervisor asking them if I could trade for another vehicle or get the replacement transmission from them at a discount or free. They acted rude unsympathetic, pretending that they went to the office and made some calls and there was nothing they could help me with. I showed them the paperwork from the tow, then I asked if I could look in the yard for a dodge to get the transmission the said they didn't have one wait and theyd check for me, I waited 45 minutes and they never came back. I am calling their corporate office to see what they have to say, I realize this truck is salvaged and it has no warranty but half a mile and there is nothing they can do to help me? I have no transportation still,2 sons to take care of my funds are limited and were talking about a company that is a known nationwide franchise with locations in Canada. They should make this right pay for my tow, locate a transmission, trade me vehicles something. They can afford it its pretty bad business. Atleast Juan & Scott could have shown some effort in steering me to someone in their company who can help me. I didn't pay $1866.13 to sit and look at a truck I was told their was nothing wrong with. Its just not right. Please help me resolve this I would like to eventually take my sons for a ride. They loved the truck but want to get out of the drive way.
