I purchased furniture last fall of 2010. It was going to take up to 6 weeks for it to be delivered to the store, so I was making payments during this time, because I would not be able to pick it up till it was paid off. They notified me that it was in, I was so happy, I was getting new furniture that I absolutly loved.
I got a call that it was in, and I picked it up just before Christmas. When I got it set up at home, I noticed indents in areas of furniture, so I called the store I purchased it from and told them my findings. They said the areas will work themselves out, that it was due to the strapings they put around it for shipment.
Well, the areas never worked out, plus other issues accured. The furniture is lumpy, as if too much stuffing in spots. The furniture is sloopy, where you sit down, does not pop back in place as cusions should, seams are crooked, coming apart, it is so disappointing.
I called the store I purchased it from again and was given the corporate office number. After many calls and messages, I was able to talk to a Steve. He told me there is no warranty and proceeded to tell me what I needed to fix it. I told him I am not a furniture manufacturer and is not for me to repair there poor workmanship. This is not a ware and tare situation, this is not something you see at first sight when you first set up. I told him I will need to report this and he told me not to threaten him. I replied back that I was just letting him know what I need to do. I mentioned to him to call me back if he comes up with a solution that would be suitable. He replied back that "I'll do what I have to do, and you do what you have to do"
I never heard back from him. I am so sad and disappointed.
Hope to hear back, Thanks.
