This past week, a company called SKS Associates unlawfuly took $97.63 from my business checking account.
They claim they bought the rights to some business equipment leases from Northern Leasing.
I did have an equipment lease with Northern from 2005-2008. The lease/purchase agreement was paid in full in May of 2008.
This is happening to hundreds of other businesses, all of whom had equipment leases that were satisfied years ago.
I have filed a dispute with my bank and got my money back, but many others have been unable to recover the stolen funds.
I have filed complaints with the BBB, FTC and Attorney General of New York. This company must be stopped.
There are over 100 complaints on ripoffreport.com and on other similar sites. I believe that hundreds, perhaps thousands of businesses have all been affected.
The company alleges that this money is for "uncollected taxes" but when asked for a detailed accounting, the company refuses to provide any documentation and threatens sending to collections.
I believe this company is stealing, period.
