I WAS CONTACTED BY AT&T TO SWITCH MY CABLE SERVICE TO THEIR UVERSE SERVICE. THE PROMOTION STATED I WOULD GET A REBATE OF $300. I HAD THE SERVICE FOR THREE MONTHS AND WHEN I APPLIED FOR MY REBATE WAS TOLD THAT I NEVER HAD UVERSE IT WAS NOT AVAILABLE IN MY AREA. IN SPITE OF THE FACT THAT SEVERAL NEIGHBORS HAD UVERSE TWO OF WHOM WERE RETIRED AT&T EMPLOYEES. THIS PAST OCTOBER I WAS EMAILED AND SENT CORRESPONDENCE STATING THAT you VERSE WAS NOW AVAILABLE AND I WOULD NOW GET A $300 REBATE AND A PROMOTION THAT INCLUDED ALL THEIR SERVICES AND ALL MOVIE CHANNELS FOR $125.00 FOR ONE YEAR. THIS TIME I DID RECEIVE THE REBATE TO DISCOVER THE BUNDLE HAD BEEN DOWNGRADED FROM A 400 PACKAGE TO A 200 PACKAGE THAT MADE ME SUBJECT TO ADDITIONAL FEES TO RECEIVE THE PREMIUM CHANNELS THAT WERE INITIALLY INCLUDED. IN ADDITION THE BUNDLE THAT INCLUDED MY PHONE WAS INOPERABLE FOR SEVERAL MONTHS, MY INTERNET SERVICE WAS SLOW AND OFTENTIMES DID NOT WORK. THE CHANNELS ON MY TV WERE NOT WORKING ADVISING THAT THEIR WAS A NEW UVERSE PROGRAM RECENTLY INTRODUCED THAT WAS NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY IN MY AREA AND THAT WAS PART OF MY PROBLEM. DURING THIS TIME I HAD TWO MAJOR SURGERIES, MY DRS WERE UNABLE TO REACH ME BY PHONE AS WELL AS MY FAMILY MEMBERS AND AS A RESULT I HAD ANOTHER EMERGENCY SERVICE WHERE I ALMOST BLED TO DEATH, BECAUSE OF AN INOPERABLE PHONE LINE. IN THE MEANTIME MY CARE TAKER WAS SENDING PAYMENTS TOWARDS MY BILLS OF WHICH I DID NOT OWE.
I HAVE RECENTLY DISCOVERED THAT THE REPEATED CALLS TO AT&T WERE IGNORED BECAUSE IF YOUR ZIPCODE DOES NOT DESIGNATE AN
UPSCALE NEIGHBORHOOD, YOU GET LOW PRIORITY ON THE SERVICE CALLS. MY FILE STATES I HAVE MEDICAL EQUIPMENT IN MY HOME AS WELL AS THAT I HAVE HAD A HEART ATTACK, TWO STROKES, DIABETIC, AND A MEDICALLY FRAGILE SENIOR CITIZEN. hOW MANY OTHER CUSTOMERS OF WHOM DO NOT HAVE A 90210 ZIPCODE ARE PLACED ON LOW PRIORITY. MY APPOINTMENTS WERE RESCHEDULED THREE TIMES AND GIVEN TO OTHER CUSTOMERS WHO RESIDED IN
A UPSCALE ZIPCODE. HOW MANY OTHER FRAGILE SENIORS HAVE BEEN DUPED I OVERPAID MY BILL. THIS MONEY I NEEDED FOR FOOD AND MEDICINES. i WAS ADVISED BY AT&T I OWED PAYMENT ON MY BILL AND NOW HAVE A CREDIT OF $320.00DUE TO THEIR ERRORI WAS INFORMED BY CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT I WAS GIVEN TWO U-VERSE ACCOUNTS, THUS CAUSING ME TO BE OVERCHARGED, BUT THEY WOULD APPLY MY EXCESS PAYMENTS TO FUTURE BILLINGS.
