In July 2010 the bundled services of FiOS was sold to Frontier. My wife had her Verizon 2 year bundled services contract with Verizon. We was never offerred an opt out of our contract when FiOS was sold. We did not sign a contract with Frontier, yet they now allege that our contract is with Frontier. When we discovered that our contract had gone along with the sale of Fios my wife telephoned them and cancelled the contract which had TWO MONTHS left on its term. Frontier stated that because we cancelled early that we owe them $177.00 ETF. We had not signed any contract with Frontier to begin with. Our contract with Verizon was sold to Frontier without our knowwledge or consent. I believe that we owe Frontier nothing, and that Verizon breached the terms of our existing contract. I further believe that the sale of our contract was never stated as a possibility at the time of our agreement with Verizon that fraud was also perpetrated against us, since we DID NOT agree to such a possible sellout. There are a very large number of people in the Fort Wayne area who received exactly the same treatment by Verizon. Had we understood that this was a possibility, we would never have signed up with Verizon at the uotset. Their terms of the contract were misleading. In addition to this we had at least one channel of our TV taken away after we had had it for over a year. When we contacted them regarding this they told us that it was a channel that we was NOT supposed to have to begin withh. To that I ask then why did we have the channel for over a year before this was determined to have been an error? Further we had a lot of equipment failures and at least one outage that inundated the entire northern half of Indiana. Again equipment failure. I feel that we were completely justified in cancelling the service and should owe nobody a nickle. I recently switched our IP service to comcast and do not yet have the email address set up.
