Craigslist Scam - Paypal / Western Union Complaint

We placed a car on craigs list for sale and received a response from Rodney Rodriquez who said he was an off shore marine and wanted to purchase the car for his son. Supposely he send money through pay Pal and then asked us to send excess money to a shipper via Western union. I in turn called pay pal because the payment was pending they told me it was most likely a scam because they do not use Western Union mostly because they are their competitor. I merely wanted to sell the car to pay for my medical bills. Seems everyone is out to screw the other guy.
