Who desides if someone can volunteer. I have tried twice to volunteer for a major company or program. One was THE AMERICAN RED CROSS in 2007 and the other was DIAKON JUTHERAN SOCIAL MINISTRIES, HOSPICE SAINT JOHN. Well they both do a backround check witch I have been up front about, befor they send it out. They always say everything will be okay. Everything is not okay. Yes I have made mistakes. However I have made changes in my life and I have learned to deal with things. Since my past I have held keys to open and close a place of business and I have trans ported money to an d from a bank plus I was able to pass MY FBI clerance to work with children. I am willing to let everyone know what my charges were. I will say this much I am no theif. I earned every dime in my life just not the way I should of. THEY told me people get second chances. Where is mine? 1991 and 2005 is along time and yes the one from 1991 will always be there it was a felony the one in 2005 was a misdemeanor. All I wanted to do was give back do something good with my time. I will not give up. I am sure some program out there will accept me.
