Sears Gainesville, Fl Complaint

My mother placed an order with Sears to replace windows for her home. Unexpectedly, my step dad who is turning 90 has to have a medical procedure and may have to be placed in a nursing home. She calls to Sears to cancel the order but is told that the order cannot be cancelled. She tells them she won't be able to pay them and for them to cancel the delivery. Sears is refusing to cancel the delivery despite her stating she can't pay. My parents are elderly and on a limited income. Can Sears force her to take the delivery? Does my mom have any recourse? Please help.
