SO CAL EDISON Complaint

SCE THREATENS TO TURN OFF ELECTRICITY OF DISABLES MAN - ELECTRICITY

SCE REPLACED MY 89 YR. OLD DISABLED FATHER'S ELECTRIC METER WITH A SO CALLED SMART METER. THEN SCE REPAIRMEN REMOVED AND REPLACED IT AGAIN AND FOR 3 MONTHS CONTINUED TO DISASEMBLE AND OR REPAIR IT. FOR THOSE THREE MONTHS SCE SENT US A BILL FOR OVER $2600.00. WHEN WE COMPLAINED, THEY JUST KEPT SENDING METER READERS TO OUR HOME AND TOLD US IT WAS UNDER INVESTIGATION AND NOT TO PAY THE BILL, IT WAS ON HOLD. AFTER ANOTHER MONTH OR SO SCE SAID THE METER WAS WORKING PROPERLY AND FOR US TO PAY THE BILL. NOW THEY ARE ADDING LATE FEES TO THE BILL AND THREATENING TO SHUT OFF MY DAD'S ELECTRICITY. WE ARE TALKING ABOUT A HOUSE THAT IS 900 SQ. FT. AND USES PROPANE FOR HEAT, WATER AND COOKING. IT IS EVIDENT FROM OUR PAST 6 YEARS OF SERVICE THAT THESE BILLS ARE OUTRAGEOUS AND REDICULOUS. OTHERS IN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD ARE EXPERIENCING RATES THAT ARE 3-10 TIMES HIGHER THAN THEIR USUAL COST OF ELECTRICITY. HELP!
