I fell victim to the fraud & scam run by Progressive Movers, Paterson, NJ in Aug.2010. In moving a distance of 8 miles from one town to next, their estimate of $350 jumped to more than $4300 in actual cost - no paperwork, just back of the envelope numbers that also I was not given to keep.
In spite of the humongous cost, they still left about 1/3 of stuff unpacked & unmoved at the origin. And at the destination, they left with boxes and couch in the hallways at three different locations. Complaint to NJ Consumer Affairs is yet to be arbitrated with no response by Progressive to Consumer Affairs or to me, even though I have written letters to them. Police report regarding lost items did not elicit any response either.
Any suggestions of class action will be welcome
