I listed a non-running vehicle on a local website for sale. I was contacted by Sac Scrappers via email and offered $350 for the vehicle if I could bring it in or $300 if they had to tow it. I replied that they could pick it up. I was contacted several days later by email and phone asking me to contact them so that they could have the vehicle picked up. I was told by the receptionist that if I could bring it in it would be quicker and I would make more money. So I pushed the vehicle to their lot(I'm 8 months pregnant). Once I got there I was told that since the vehicle had fluids in it they had dropped their offer to $150. Keep in mind when they contacted me they made no mention of fluids. When I questioned their practices, and when I keep asking what the price they would give me the owner or boss became beligerant and started yelling at me and told me to take my car because he didn't want it. They were trying toget me to sign paperwork without me agreeing to the price they would take the car for. The boss was very upset and I was on the verge of tears. I don't know if they did this because I was pregnant and on my own, an easy target, or if this is just their way of handling business. However they should have been truthful from the start and would not have wasted my time.
