During February of 2010, a minister in our church, offered to do some home improvements for my wife and I. We were going to receive an extension from our tax refund to complete the home renovation. This man and his wife approached my wife and I and gave us a quote well under competitive prices. He assured us he could do the job repeatedly and stay in budget. We signed a contract with them. He had a crew come and start work in March 2010. I bought materials, i.e. drywall, paint, lumber and his crew began work. It was supposed to take 3-4 days but almost two weeks later they finally finished the walls and baseboards. Then his crew disappeared and we have not seen them since. We have contacted him on several occasions to get him to come complete the job. The wiring is not completed. He has not finished the painting or carpeting. The plumbing was put in but he did not finish the cabinets or cleanup. He tried bringing in several people but never completed tasks or deadlines we gave him. Now we are to the point where we call him daily and he will not answer his phone or messages. We have since learned that we are not his only victims. Our pastor has loaned him money which he has not paid back and our basement is still a mess which he left. We need some help and closure on this whole ordeal. I can give more details when contacted.
