In Aug of 2010, I went to Orlando I have an epass, I was on a sunpass toll road, and my transponder did not work (Apparently) In February I received a citation immediately called epass and was told to call sun pass they do not talk to each other. I was told by sun pass to call e pass, which I did. I was told to fill out a citation dispute which I did. Never received anything else and thought it had been cleared up. I was changing Car Insurance companies and was notified by them that my license was going to be suspended on April 7, 2011. My. 75 (2 of them) tickets resulted in a $585.50 fine that I was forced to pay to keep my license. I have paid that on March 29th. Now I have to get clearance from the Orange county clerk or my license will be suspended and I will have to pay to have my license reinstated. I have looked up complaints and there are hundreds of them from people who have their license suspended because they could not come up with the money to pay the tickets. Go to some web sites, If you call either of the sun pass or epass you get no help. I was told two times it was cleared up or taken care of If I did not stay on top of it I would be driving without a license. IT is a scam. They need to be exposed. The customer service for sunpass is a joke no one know what to tell you the supervisor has no clue and when you call and complain, I emailed them 3 times and got 1 response with no follow up call. HOw in the world do you expect to pay a ticket if you don't know you have one. YOu get notified 6 months later and you have no options. I just received from epass that my traffic citation dipute was denied because it was over 30 days. NOT TRUE. I filled out the forms on February 1, 2011 and faxed them. The post mark of these letters is March 30th, they day I started complaining. I am sure you can find a lot of other people to interview with this same complaint. Isn't life hard enought today.
