slow boat from china never arrives with headboard and footboard for bedroom set

Back on May 11th 2006, we ordered a bedroom set from Room to Room 3843 Boston Rd. Bronx NY 10475 We were told it would take 2 weeks to receive our new bedroom set, It was to be delivered on May 30th. I called the store on the morning of the 30th to get a time of delivery, I was told that someone called the day before to tell me that I wasn't getting a delivery, no one called my house or cell phone, so I have no idea who they spoke to I was told they spoke to either me or my husband well we were both together all day and no one called either one of us. Then I was told that they had all my furniture but the headboard and footboard they said when they went to load it on the truck they realized it was a king size and not the queen size that I had ordered. Well if they didn't find this out until they tried loading it on the truck then why would they call me the day before? They delivered the furniture that they had only because we had gotten rid of the old set the day before, to make room for they new set. They showed up with the dressers and the night stands one of them was damaged, the wrong mattress, and a loner frame, they had to go back to the warehouse and get the right mattress, while i was reading the warranty for the mattress the frame they loaned me was not the propper frame and would void my warranty on the mattress. After repeated phone calls I was told my headboard and footboard were in 2 weeks later, they came to deliver it before they even got it off the truck I told them it was the wrong one I ordered a sleigh bed and this was just a flat headboard and footboard. Again after repeated phone calls, one of the salesmen got on the phone and started laughing about the whole situation, I don't think it was funny at all my house was upsidedown for 3 weeks waiting for this furniture. I finally spoke to the president of the company and he assured me that it would be in by the 3rd week of July, I called this morning July 29th, and I was told it won't be in until the 3rd week of August. I really hope you can help us with this, I am heading for a nervous breakdown. The salesman won't even get on the phone with us anymore. PLEASE HELP US.

I feel your pain...we went through a similar nightmare with Room to Room. We paid in full for our leather couch along with a Protection Plan in November 2006. In February 2007, our couch needed repair as the couch had a nail sticking out of the couch that ripped one of the cushions. As per the details of our protection plan, we are entitled to receive a replacement...Today is June 25, 2007 - WE HAVE NOT RECEIVED IT!...OUR COUCH CUSHION IS STILL TORN! We have called and visited the store to speak to "Jackie" the Customer Service Rep who has found countless excuses as to why we have not received a telephone call (my incoming calls are available to prove this!) ranging from: 1) The Warehouse is not getting back to her about what is going on with the cushion, 2) The cushion has to be shipped from "overseas" as it is not made here, 3) the Warehouse messed up the order, 4) the Warehouse misread the order number, 5) she has not had the chance to review our order because she is "overworked" with other people's orders 6) her hands are tied because she is trying to see if her boss can overnight it but he won't sign off on it..... This is ridiculous! To add fuel to the fire, Lawrence King told both myself and my husband, in a store full of customers and in front of his staff that quote "We paid $549 for the couch so they did not really make any money on it!" ...Should I also mention that on each visit, my husband and I have met other dissatisfied consumers? We left without a definitive answer as to when our couch will be serviced.... Please, help to shut this unscrupulous place down!!!
