I was out of state when I received a call from my tenant that
my well pressure tank had failed. I had aqua pumps phone number in my wallet so I called them and asked if they could replace it. They said yes but I would have to pay a $100
surcharge and give them my credit card number. Thinking they
would charge me a reasonable price for the tank and installation fee I agreed. When I checked my credit statement the nest day I saw a $1225 charge on my statement. Thinking
there was a mistake I called the company and was told the
amount was correct. I asked to speak to the owner and he called me back and told me his prices was competative. I
later went to my house and talked to my tenant who informed me
that the repairman was there for less than a hour. I priced the tank on-line for $198.37 including shipping. I called Scot the owner back and told him the price of the tank and asked him why he charge me so much. He told me that was the price I had originally agreed to, witch is not
true because I would never have agreed to such a high price
and I have the driver in the car in which I was riding to verify that. How can they justify a price of $1225 for a $200 tank plus fittings and an hour worth of labor.
