On January 2, 2011, my vehicle was towed from the complex because my sticker was expired for one day. After paying the towing fee, I begged the manager for a new sticker but she and her assistance refused and humiliated me. They locked the door while two of them were showing and humiliating me; they told me to go ahead making a complaint about their actions to Austin Housing Authority. I kept begging them for a sticker but they told me the next available schedule for receiving a sticker is on the next Monday, January 10, 2011. At this time, they told me to park my vehicle on the Visitor parking. I told the manager that there are no more visitor parking available and I would like to have a temporary parking until the next Monday, but they refused. On this night, I had to sleep in my vehicle and under a cold weather while I have an asthma illness. For the last three nights, I have to sleep in my vehicle because the manager refused to give me a parking permit. Even at this time, the management have treated most tenants badly because the majority of tenants are immigrants from Vietnam and Africa with poor English language skills.
Even the sticker is on their position but they just want to give me a hard time because I was a whistleblower on housing and food program scams in this complex between the management and illegal tenants. The investigation were conducted by the HUD, USDA, and the Tarrant County DA's Office. There are a lot more problems in this complex for the last 10 years but tenants were silently moving out with anger and frustration because they couldn't get any help from the government due to their language barriers.
