Hyundai Complaint

Repaired 10 Times And Still Broke - Air Bag Failure

I purchased a 2005 Hyundai XG-350 new in Aug. 2005, within 2 months my auto was in repair shop @ Hyundai dealership for problem with airbag (safety issue AIR bag was not engaged for a COLLISION). The light on all the time mileage at this time was around 2000.
This issue continued for the next 5.5 years my car has been is the repair shop 10 times for the same issue. Even when the car was out of warranty they kept playing with the connector, I am a retired electronic engineer I have told them countless times it is a cable harness problem.
Now as a good will gesture Hyundai has sent a new harness to Red Hoagland dealership in Winter Haven but they Hyundai Corp. want me to pay for installation ($600).
$600 is not a huge cost to Hyundai, but to a fixed income retiree it is; especially when it is there problem to start with!
Because auto is out of warranty, this repair could have been made well within warranty. I have spent at least 39 hours if not more in different Hyundai repair shops up a down the east coast of this country.
This is all documented and for Hyundai Consumer AFFAIRS REP. to tell me to take or leave this deal is totally stuipd, I am sure Hyundai Corp. is clueless to this consumer affairs person’s remarks in writing to me. Is it at all possible for ANY & ALL TV Networks to do a piece on solving this problem…
Thank You
Len Cormier
