I rented a car from Hertz at Minneapolis/Saint Paul International Airport. I had rented a Nissan Altima, At the time I picked up the car I was told by the serviceperson at the desk that it would be cheaper to buy gas from them when I returned the car.
So when the day finely came and I returned it, I was told by the guy that check the vehicle in that the gas would only be $2.90 a gal. And I was also told that the totel amount I owed was $511.00.But when I went to balance my Bankbook Hertz had billed my account 634.86 A difference of $123.86.and never bothered to tell me that I was to pay this higher amount. and In the process they overdrew my bank account and the bank charged an additional $37.00 for the Overdraft fee. And this is the problem had Hertz Told of this higher amount I would have made sure that those funds where made available and would not have been overdrawn. And to make matters worse (if they could get any worse) I am disable and had set up a small loan to cover the up front cost to get a Service Dog to assist me in my day to day needs. But because of the overdraft this loan has been declined and now I am unable to get this Dog.
I don't feel that what they did was right. and to me If I go to a fine restaurant and if the food is bad or the staff is rude I should get a full refund. And Hertz chose to overcharge me then treated me the way they did when all I wanted was some answers, They to should give me a full refund.
